"A little?" I offered, my shoulder raising and lowering. "I've met a few new people, and I don't jump in terror when I find myself alone with someone I don't know. I think everytime someone sees my eyes and doesn't automatically look back with fear or loathing, it gets a little easier to accept that I have nothing to fear here."
