"She's not the only one who wants to hurt him for that." Kate finally looks away, glancing down at the stupid clothes she's wearing and wishing for her armory. But there aren't enough guns in the world to protect either of them from some of this.

"Listen, Magnus," she says and it's a little quieter. "I know this sucks. I know the timing of it really fucking blows." Coarse, she can hear Magnus thinking. But it's just plain true. "But don't let it spoil being with Will. It's kind of selfish of me, but...I liked seeing you guys happy.
